The Path to Homeownership

With superior industry knowledge and more than three decades of experience, we are committed to making the dream of owning affordable new homes a reality for families in West Texas. Take a look at the milestones you can expect to encounter on the path to homeownership with Betenbough Homes.

Step One: VIP Tour

At Betenbough Homes, we strive to offer you the best possible home-buying experience, and that effort starts at your very first appointment with our sales team. We call this your VIP tour!

At your VIP tour, you are our priority! Our relational approach starts with our new home specialists getting to know you and your family. They may ask some questions to gain a better understanding of your unique situation.

After learning about what's important to you, our new home specialists will share their recommendations for floor plans and communities that will be the best fit for your family. You'll then have a chance to go on a tour and experience these homes and communities for yourself. If you've found the place you want to call home by the end of your VIP tour, our team will guide you along the next steps of your journey toward homeownership! We desire to fit you with a home that meets your family's needs, and we never want to pressure or rush you into an agreement you're not excited about. Step Two: Home Selection

There are many exciting elements related to your new home selection, including community, floor plan, and homesite selection! Based on the information you share in your VIP tour, our new home specialists will have a recommendation for all three. When selecting which Betenbough Homes community to build in, you may consider things like location, school district, nearby necessities, and community amenities. Many of our communities feature parks and walking trails and are located in highly-rated school districts to meet the needs of our home buyers. Betenbough Homes offers over 40 home styles, ranging from 1,000 - 2,600 square feet, but our new home specialists will help guide you to the best family of floor plans for your needs. Many of our homes are  "sister floor plans", so once you've settled on a layout, you can browse the various exterior styles to find what appeals to you. As the name implies, homesite selection consists of choosing your home's location on a map of the community you'll be living in. Some restrictions apply based on the size of the homesite compared to the square footage of the floor plan you select. Step Three: Preferred Lender Introduction

To save you money and ensure you receive world-class service, Betenbough Homes has established exclusive partnerships with a select group of West Texas mortgage lenders that we refer to as preferred loan officers. While we do not offer in-house new home financing, we are certain financing your new home will be made easy through the efforts of these top-notch representatives. After your VIP tour, our new home specialists will connect you with a local preferred loan officer best equipped to handle your family's unique situation. Many of our preferred loan officers are also able to offer incentives that help first-time home buyers, move-up buyers, or those seeking to downsize with loan options that can lower interest rates, provide additional cash for closing, or offer lower down payments. Step Four: Home Design Options

Now for the fun part! This is where the vision for your new home really starts to take shape. Our design centers are structured to allow you full control and personalization, ensuring the outcome is a home entirely your own. You can mix and match cabinets, granites, backsplashes, flooring, plumbing and lighting fixtures, and more for a truly customizable experience! For our buyers who are a little less decisive with their design choices, and to avoid analysis paralysis, we also expertly curated options packages with granite, backsplash, and cabinets chosen by interior designers. These styles range from bohemian chic to urban edge and are sure to help your new home vision come to life! Also included in this stage are your options for brick, landscaping, window treatments, and other upgrades you may want to consider for your new home. This is the final appointment you will walk through with your new home specialist. At this point, they will introduce you to your experience specialist who will walk with you through the remainder of the construction process.  Click here to start designing!

Step Five: Frame Tour

At this stage, your new home has fully taken shape! The walls are up, and you can actually feel your house becoming a home. Your dedicated experience specialist will walk you through your new home's frame, allowing you to begin envisioning your family inside those walls. At your frame tour, you will learn about how our advanced framing system and engineered roof trusses create a structurally sound home, giving you the highest quality and innovation. Friends and family are welcome to join you in filling the walls with scripture and positive words to bless your new home while it is in the framing stage.

Step Six: Welcome Home Celebration

Your home is almost complete! It's time to celebrate! Our in-house detail team has dedicated many hours to the finishing touches of your new home so it will be ready for move-in. Your experience specialist will help you celebrate the completion of construction with a final walkthrough, ensuring that your expectations have been met and that you’re completely satisfied with your new home purchase. With only a few days until your scheduled closing, this time allows you to request any adjustments or touch-ups that may be needed before our teams move out and you move in! But, don’t fret; your comprehensive two-year,  new home warranty will be available immediately and we would be happy to visit any time!

Step Seven: Closing Day

The keys are yours! It's now time to approve and sign all closing documents, legally transferring ownership of your new home to your name. Betenbough Homes partners with Impact Title to provide a streamlined, in-house closing process. Your closing specialist will walk you through each document and make sure that all signatures are accounted for. Closing on your home will take around one hour. Once complete, you will receive the keys to your new home!

Step Eight: New Home Warranty

Betenbough Homes is proud to offer a two-year comprehensive new home warranty! That's double the coverage our competitors offer!

We are committed to going above and beyond to serve our homeowners, so our warranty team will perform proactive check-ups to ensure that everything in your home is working properly. This occurs 30 days after you move in, and again at 11 months.

As a new Betenbough Homeowner, you can rest easy knowing that your home is fully covered by your included two-year comprehensive new home warranty.
